Pembroke Resources has considered guidelines, legislation and best practice in planning operations to minimise impact and provide a high standard of rehabilitation to achieve a safe, non-polluting, stable and sustainable landform that supports grazing and provides woodland vegetation areas.

An environmental impact assessment process was completed in accordance with the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1970 in May 2019, with final approvals and mining leases granted in May and September 2020. ODC operates within the requirements of stringent Local, State and Commonwealth licensing and overarching regulation, which includes but is not limited to the following key licenses:

To facilitate positive environmental and social outcomes ODC manages the above commitments via and Environmental Management System designed in keeping with ISO 14001: Environmental Management System requirements.
